Bonsai Trees...how to?
I just recieved a Bonsai Tree Garden kit and have no idea what to do with it. It came with a booklet but its so confusing talking about the different types of seeds and everything. It says to put in this little tub and soak the leaves in a saucer and put it in a warm place then in like 2 months you can plant it? Is this true? What do I do? It came with a plastic tub of seeds..a tera cotta pot and potting soil. Ive tried looking up information but its all so confusing and different. I just need a few tips on how to get started. Thanks so much Ok this really doesnt help me...i know i need to do research but everything ive found is how to care after you already have saplings. I dont know how to get to that point. I dont know how to use the materials that I have, thats why I have come to this to get answers that I can't find elsewhere. i hope someone can help me..thanks
Bonsai tree - how to re-pot a japanese black pine, and is it ready to be re-potted (pic included)?
hi i have grown a japanese black pine from seed for the first time , and it is in a very small pot, but then again it is still very small. here are some pictures took a few months ago. it has grown a bit since then, like it has got more leaves, but the size of the trunk hasnt changed and is still overall about the same size. which makes me think thats its not getting bigger because it needs a new pot.s933.photobucket.com albums ad180 darcyc121 ?action view& current SNC01016.jpg& also the pot that it is in now, doesnt have holes at the bottom, but i put a layer of gravel at the bottom. if i need to repot, what size pot should i get and is it better for the pot to have holes in and put mesh at the bottom?also the information booklet i got with it is not very informative, but i plan on getting a book from the library, but could you please tell me breifly the process of re potting.thank you very much
