What Is The Life Span Of A Bonsai Tree?
Almost any tree can become a bonsai tree. However there are some written and unwritten rules what bonsai trees should look like. There are different Bonsai Species available with great Bonsai Styling.

How to water a bonsai tree?
I just received a bonsai tree as a gift, and in the directions it says to water it by " submerge the pot in a sink of water for about 1 2 inch above the brim for 3 5 minutes, 2 3 times a week depending on the pot size." I didn't know if maybe sitting the pot under water would cause the soil to disperse and leave the pot, or what. Has anyone taken care of a bonsai tree before? Any tips for watering? Thank you.

What are the basics of growing a bonsai tree?
i was thinking of growing one from a little tree IE a just sprouted pine tree i can get one easily what tree should i use a pohutakawa or pine ? or maybe a willow. what do i need to do to care for it how do i prune it and how should i re plant it into a pot? and what else do i need to know? how often should i water it?

I have a juniper bonsai tree and i live in utah, what do i do with it in the winter it gets very cold?

Juniper bonsai tree care help?
My friend got me a Juniper bonsai tree from the mall for Christmas and I need to know how to take of it. I live in CT and I know bonsais need to hibernate during the winter by putting it outside but it gets really cold here and I'm afraid to put it outside. My house is like 60 degrees F most of the time and its like 20 degrees F outside. How often should I water it? It's really young little and some of the branches are a really light brown like they are dead but they still have green coming from them? Can you guys tell me if this okay and if it's healthy? I'm afraid it may be dying because of the bad care it got from the mall... Any tips for care? I always wanted a bonsai tree and am determined to have it live a long time.

My bonsai tree is dying!?
I'm quite new to bonsai tree growing, and I have been trying my best to keep it alive as it was given to me by someone important. The leaves just keep falling off and I have a feeling that I've over watered it but I don't know I've only had it about a month or two and I just keep feeling like I've failed to keep it alive, is there anything that I can do to try to restore it?

Bonsai tree, long green stems need cutting?
I can't remember the exact species, and the tree may even be a cousin of the bonsai but it looks like a bonsai tree and is cared for like one. My bonsai tree has about 7 long green stems growing out of the side branches and they look out of place, not in character with the rest of the bonsai. About 4 inches long.Do they need cutting off or trimming?

My young bonsai tree?
Got a little bonsai tree kit for Xmas which I hear are unreliable to say the least but found that I got about 10 11 little seedlings starting to grow in one pot most are dead or dying but the others are growing nicely there are 2 about 2 inches big with no leaves just sort of pines and 2 very small 1 2 inch with 2 leaves, I hear you are supposed to leave them until they grow more leaves then re pot but with the other ones dying i was told they will die in the same pot. So my questions are 1. What do I do with the small ones?2. What do I do with the piney ones?3. Can anyone hazard a guess at the what kind they are or where from, bearing in mind they are from a commercial bonsai tree kit from gift republic?And any other advice?

Box blight treatment in bonsai trees? HELP?
Hi,I've just found out my Bonsai tree has box blight. There is apparantly no known cause or specific treatment.Has any one had this or knows how I can help my bonsai tree survive through this and get rid of it?Thanks
