How do identify what species is my bonsai tree?
It's not your typical 'tree'. It has a moderately large and fat trunk, but has no branches, just long, narrow leaves, sort of like a palm. When I first got it several months ago, the leaf fronds were maybe 12" long, and now many of them are 18 24" long. It loves the indirect bright light near a southern facing window. I need to know how to care for it other than simply watering it once a week.I uploaded a photo of it to my profile entitled 'Mystery' Bonsai. Have a look and help me identify it. How do u grow a bonsai tree?
hi i recently brought bonsai seeds well ive been waiting 2 months and still nothing the thing is i think i may have planted them to deep will this be ok or shall i try and find the old seeds and replant them
Whats wrong with my bonsai tree??? :(?
so i got my bonsai about a month ago its a mount fuji serissa, ive noticed that the leafs are different..well not just different they look like theyre drying out....hmm..like when some fall and theyve been there like 2 days...thats the appearance of all of them and before they used to look very green and firm very healthy and i dont know what to do...i dont know if its because im not watering it enough or if i might be watering it too much wich i dont think is the case but i dont know because i just got it...i dont know if it might not be getting enough sun light...so if you have any idea please help meeeeee... i dont want it to die. what can i do in order for it to b healthy again?thanks in advance
Bonsai - my ilex (holly) bonsai tree leaves are withering (pics included)?
the leaves have got all dry and have started to bend inwards and a few have started to drop offis it because of the posistion i place it on a windowsill which gets quite a lot of sun, as there are no buildings near there to block the sun for some of the day.or is it due to watering... too much or too little. a few days ago i placed it in a shallow sink of water for 10 minutes and everyday i spray it with water on the leaves and make sure the surface of the soil is moist.do i need to feed it? i have only had it for about 3 weeks, and i have just bought some bonsai liquid feeder. i havent put it on yet but i am about to. and il see wether that makes a difference.thanks for the advice as i am a beginner in bonsai.heres the link to the pics s933.photobucket.com albums ad180 darcyc121 ?action view& current SNC01447.jpgs933.photobucket.com albums ad180 darcyc121 ?action view& current SNC01445.jpg
My bonsai tree is dying?
I know my tree isn't dead yet as it still has one green shoot, but all the leafs have fallen off and the moss stuff on the base of the trunk has gone. It hasn't been over or under watered, and it doesn't look diseased. Any ideas on how I can save it?

Someone HELP my bonsai tree!?
I have always been watering my bonsai tree daily so that it has lots of water and new branches have grown, the leaves are big and healthy but the moss around the trunk that I was told to water is peeling away, less then half is left. Is this a problem?Also yesterday a picture frame fell and broke 2 it's branches, they weren't totally snapped off just hanging there. I put them up right and supported with string will the broken branches effect the tree?

How should I try saving my bonsai tree's life?
I have a ficus ginseng species bonsai that has very little foliage on top of a big root looking trunk. It wasn't growing much in my kitchen window so I put it outside one hot day in the shade and almost every leaf is scorched. I brought it back inside and watered it but the leaves are dead. With the next watering I gave it a little fertilizer but I don't know exactly what the best way to remove the dead leaves. If recommended, where should I make the cuts and what else can I do to revive the tree?

Ok i bought a Chinese elm bonsai tree on Ebay a week ago and ima bout to leave for vacation to Bend,Oregon, and i live in Oklahoma and i bought a chinese elm bonsai tree not to big for the friends i stay with over the summer...... and i have to fly there and i was thinking of just carrying the tree in a box in my backpack onto the airlplane....... and i was just wondering if that would be ok to do, or if it would be a security problem since you have to go through the Xray machines and bullcrap.
Bonsai trees - is a humidity tray the same as a drip plate?
just a different name for it?and also do you fill the drip plate humidity tray with water? which will evaporate up over time?also if any of you have any tips on looking after Carmona or ilex bonsai trees, or just indoor bonsai trees in general, please share your tips thank you
